A working group of Oakridge residents, with the support of the Oakridge Community Association, have come together to raise funds with the goal of improving Oakridge’s greenspaces over the next decade.
The group’s first event takes place on the Tuesday after the long weekend, Aug. 3rd. It will be raising funds through a bottle drive to be held at the Oakridge Community Centre at 9504 Oakfield Drive S.W. from 6 to 9 p.m.
The group – known as Oh MY Oakridge – has a bold and long-term goal of improving all of the greenspaces in an around Oakridge over the next 10 years. This includes upgrading playground equipment, sourcing new equipment, along with a variety of other initiatives.
