Hello Neighbour

Welcome to the Oakridge Monitor, where we document what's happening in the southwest Calgary community of Oakridge.

Street sweeping comes to Oakridge this week

This Monday and Tuesday, June 7th and 8th, Oakridge residents will be required to remove their vehicles from city streets for street sweeping or face hefty fines.

Oakridge is one of the last communities in Calgary to see its streets swept this year. In the past few years, Oakridge has been one of the earliest in early April.

The south part of the community will be cleaned on Monday, June 7th, with the north part completed the following day, on Tuesday, June 8th. Signs in your area will indicate what day your vehicles need to be removed from the roads between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Those who do not remove their vehicles could receive a $120 ticket or possibly have their vehicle towed.
