Inaugural Oakridge Run takes place on Sept. 9th

The first ever Oakridge Run will take place throughout the community on Saturday, Sept. 9th.

There will be three options for runners: a 1K kids’ fun run, a 6K, and a 10K. Discounted early bird registration is underway and runs until Aug. 15th. The kids’ fun run is free, while registration for the 6K and 10K is $25 for 12 and under and $40 for adults. These prices go up $5 and $10 respectively after Aug. 15th.

All runs will start and end at the Oakridge Community Centre. The 6K run will weave through the community pathway system, while the 10K run will also include the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway. The 6K and 10K start at 8:30 a.m., while the kids’ run commences at 10 a.m.

This event is a fundraising initiative for Oh MY Oakridge, a group dedicated to enhancing Oakridge’s greenspaces. The funds raised during this event will support the creation of a masterplan to upgrade and improve the existing greenspaces within our community. By participating in the Oakridge Run, you’ll be contributing directly to the betterment of Oakridge community and helping to create a more vibrant and enjoyable environment for all residents.
