The Oakridge Community Association has decided to cancel the Ward 11 Candidates Forum due to new Covid restrictions and recommendations announced by the provincial government just prior to the Labour Day long weekend.
The OCA decided to cancel based on the restrictions and recommendations announced on Sept. 4th, specifically referencing:
Albertans are encouraged to limit in-person contacts.
Unvaccinated Albertans are strongly recommended to limit indoor social gatherings to close contacts of only 2 cohort families up to a maximum of 10 people.
The COA says it is looking at ways to still provide residents with an opportunity to ask questions of all Ward 11 candidates and those decisions will be made after the federal election on Sept. 20.
