Hello Neighbour

Welcome to the Oakridge Monitor, where we document what's happening in the southwest Calgary community of Oakridge.

The Point Public House opens its doors at 50% capacity

The Point Public House this morning became the first restaurant/pub in Oakridge to re-open its doors, albeit at only 50% capacity and at reduced hours.

The Point originally planned to re-open back on May 14th, but when Alberta Health Services delayed by 10 days its decision to allow restaurants and pubs to re-open, its doors remained shut.

It will be interesting to see how many clients return to the Point and how quickly. So far, none of the other restaurants in the Oakridge area – Purlieu, Carmines, etc. – have resumed dine-in service, but we will provide regular updates in the Monitor as soon as we know more.

The Point’s hours for the immediate future are Sundays to Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight.
