Hello Neighbour

Welcome to the Oakridge Monitor, where we document what's happening in the southwest Calgary community of Oakridge.

Tsuu T'ina Costco opening now slated for late June

The Costco store, expected to be the anchor tenant of the Taza development on the Tsuu T’ina Nation, is now slated to open in late June.

According to a source on the Tsuu T’ina administrative council, while construction is moving along, there is still about four months of work to complete inside the external shell of the store before it can open for business. Work is also continuing on providing access to the Costco from the newly opened extension of the southwest ring road.

The Costco is the first to be built on First Nations land and it will anchor the Shops at Buffalo Run at the intersection of 130th Avenue S.W. and the ring road. More stores are slated to open in the summer of 2021 although no announcements have yet been made on what those stores might be.
