Oakridge families are encouraged to get together on Monday, Feb. 17th for a Family Day Skate at the Oakridge Arena. The skate is free and will run from 1 to 3 p.m.
Both the indoor rink and outdoor rink will be in operation for the skate, weather permitting. There will also be hot chocolate and cookies available for everyone’s enjoyment.
Please bring your own skates and helmet.
As well, the Oakridge Arena will play host to Sticks and Pucks again on Friday afternoons from 1 to 2 p.m., starting on Jan. 17th and running through to March 20th. This provides hockey and ringette players of all ages with the opportunity to improve their skills. No organized games or slap shots are permitted.
A maximum of 40 skaters are allowed to participate and the fee is $7 for adults and $3 for children. All participants under 18 must wear full equipment, and those 18 and over must have a helmet and gloves.
