Hello Neighbour

Welcome to the Oakridge Monitor, where we document what's happening in the southwest Calgary community of Oakridge.

Help stop speeding in Oakridge

While the southwest ring road has brought improved access to residents of Oakridge, it has also brought excessive speeding through our community.

Many residents have noticed increased traffic and speeding along both 90th Avenue and Palliser Drive S.W.

The Oakridge Community Association is asking residents to call the City of Calgary through its 311 number to lodge complaints. The goal is for the City to hear enough feedback that it will initiate discussions with the OCA on some traffic calming measures.

Calls to 311 are free and can be anonymous if you so choose.

Oakridge Oldtimers hope to open outdoor rink in mid-December
